I often joke with couples that we get to risk our lives together to get amazing shots, but this shoot fit the bill more than most. We started off down in Forest, VA (prefacing this by saying that it was raining on and off all day and the weather was just super weird), and the rain had seemingly cleared up which left us with some cool, stormy skies. With only about an hour of light left, we all climbed in my car and drove up the blue ridge parkway to grab some overlook shots. About 10 minutes from the overlook, it got crazzzzy foggy - I'm talking - you can't see 10 feet ahead of you foggy. Rest assured we inched up the road the rest of the way and it was SO worth it - I love the different look it gave to the mountainside - what do you guys think?
This day couldn't have been any more perfect for these two wild-hearted, barefooted, adventurous souls. Jenny + Alden tied the knot in Flagstaff, AZ in the most perfect, romantic woodland setting. It's always especially fun to watch friends say I do and celebrate together on one of the best days of their life. Marriage is such a rocking adventure <3
Also, I just have to add, it was pretty awesome to get away from the freezing, January weather in VA - if it were up to me, I'd be definitely tempted to move over there. But I'm married to an ice king so sadly that will never happen - ha!
